Rotor Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Rotor & Drive Design Engineer to join our team at Bell Helicopter. As a key member of our Commercial Business Center in Ft. Worth, TX, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex Rotor & Drive system components, including blades, hubs, swashplates, shafts, bearings, gears & gearboxes, and other supporting components.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead design activities for new and modified Rotor & Drive Design concepts, maturing and supporting these concepts through detail design, component test, and flight testing.
- Create detailed, assembly, and installation design definitions in 2D and 3D technical data using CAD software and analytical tools.
- Support manufacturing and testing of components and sub-systems, interpreting technical data and assisting in product improvements.
- Improve detail, assembly, and installation design definitions in 2D and 3D technical data using CAD software and PLM software.
- Participate in a cross-functional team environment, completing various objectives depending on the program lifecycle assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
- 5 years minimum of aerospace design experience on primary structural components, with Rotors or Drives experience preferred.
- Mechanical design layout and detail design experience with 2D/3D modeling, requirement capture, and specification development in aerospace on primary structural components.
- Experience working in a precision manufacturing environment, focused on mechanical or non-mechanical component manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency with mechanical computer-aided design tools, such as CATIA v6, UG v5, and/or ProE.
- Working knowledge of GD&T requirements.
- Demonstrated success working in a team environment and articulating technical data and concepts to a wide audience.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize various activities and tasks while dealing with change.
