Job Overview
Position Summary:

The Infrastructure Systems Architect is tasked with the strategic planning, design, and execution of resilient and scalable system frameworks that align with organizational objectives.

This role involves configuring and optimizing server environments for peak performance, overseeing security updates, and collaborating with various IT departments to ensure the cohesive operation of systems.

Responsibilities include providing user assistance, establishing data backup and recovery protocols, and maintaining thorough documentation for system setups and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Duties:


Develops and enforces system and data security measures, logging practices, and compliance with established Information Security Policies while promoting adherence to standardized IT processes and architectural guidelines.

Designs, implements, and supports system services, ensuring the effective operation and ongoing development of applications and systems deployed on physical or virtual servers in cloud environments.

Configures and manages server systems, ensuring optimal functionality and security for the organization's applications.
Plans, designs, and executes robust and scalable system architectures tailored to the unique requirements of the organization.

Implements and oversees the application of patches and updates to operating systems and software, ensuring systems remain secure and current.

Provides support to users and field engineers to troubleshoot hardware issues and conducts remote diagnostics to resolve software-related problems.

Establishes data backup and recovery strategies for systems, including those necessary for business continuity and disaster recovery operations.

Assists Systems Integrators in leveraging cloud computing technologies, offering guidance and support as necessary.

Maintains comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Acts as the primary liaison between the service desk and system administrators, monitoring, maintaining, and operating various IT systems.

Collaborates with other IT teams, such as network engineers and application developers, to ensure seamless integration and functionality of systems supporting business operations.


Qualifications:


A minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering or IT infrastructure is required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred; 3 years of experience with a Master's degree may also be considered.


Education:
A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree preferred; degrees in Computer Science or Information Technology are ideal. Related disciplines or equivalent work experience will also be considered.

The target salary range for this position is $89,000 to $117,075 annually.


The wage range for this role considers various factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands.
