Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager

Job Summary:
The Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients. This role involves assisting the Account Manager with meeting the service needs of customers, processing changes, rating, making calls, and ensuring accurate information is input into our automation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process endorsements, certificates, change confirmations, and invoices as per instructions from the Account Manager.
- Assist in processing new and renewal business, including application assembly, setting up files, and assembling proposals.
- Invoice-assigned commercial premium transactions following agency procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain client files on computer systems and provide prompt, courteous, knowledgeable service to customers and prospects.
- Perform all actions relating to customers and companies in a manner that will avoid issues involving potential errors and omissions.
- Maintain working knowledge of all company change procedures and participate in seminars and other training to maintain required licenses and for knowledge and skill development.
- Support the department with computer and word processing skills, including rating programs in our automation system.
Requirements:
- Ability to obtain a thorough understanding of commercial underwriting and coverage and interpret abstract data.
- Intermediate PC skills, with the ability to effectively utilize the agency's management systems.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, changing priority environment and self-motivated with the initiative to prioritize and be self-directed.
- Regular and punctual attendance is required, and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally, and in writing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both colleagues, and managers, across all levels.
- Ability to promote, and maintain a team environment, willing to find accommodating solutions for our customers, companies, and the Agency.
- Ability to successfully adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as maintain strict confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Property and Casualty license or willingness and ability to quickly obtain preferred.
- Previous insurance experience preferred, CISR designation preferred, and Associate degree preferred.
Working Conditions:
The Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager will work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, office environment with periodic high disruption and changing priorities. The ability to perform approximately 80% sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and negligible force frequently is required. The ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and operate a computer workstation, including keyboard and video display, is also required.
