Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Nurse to join our team at Stamford Health. As a member of our Acute Rehabilitation Unit, you will play a critical role in helping patients recover from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, and other conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and following all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines.
  • Provide supervision of non-RN personnel and act as a resource for ancillary staff on assigned unit.
  • Act as preceptor to new staff and/or students as requested.
  • Adhere to all Stamford Health's policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program.
  • Provide safe and therapeutic care using the values inherent in our hospital culture.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Valid license as Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Maintain minimum of 6 contact hours annually.
  • Minimum of one year nursing experience; med/surg or rehab nursing experience highly preferred.
