Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Director of Nursing at Fairfield Nursing & Rehabilitation. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality resident care services and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nursing Compliance and Quality: Ensure that nursing practices and procedures are in line with The Company's policies, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, evaluate, and assign duties to nursing staff, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent resident care within budget and census guidelines.
  • Staff Augmentation: Provide additional support to floor staffing as needed to ensure optimal resident care.
  • Payroll and Documentation: Approve and validate department payroll and ensure accurate resident charting and procedure documentation.
  • Resident Care Planning: Develop and implement resident care plans in collaboration with physicians, medical directors, nursing staff, and external consultants.
  • Equipment and Supplies: Ensure timely availability of necessary equipment, supplies, and resources for staff.
  • Staff Development: Train and develop nursing staff to achieve positive resident outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Education and Licensure: Registered Nurse with required state licensure.
  • Leadership Experience: Significant technical experience and demonstrated leadership/management skills.
  • Geriatric Nursing Background: Experience in geriatric nursing and restorative care philosophy.
  • Communication and Organization Skills: Excellent professional skills, including assessment and hands-on care, and good communication and organization skills.
  • Nursing Home Regulations: Working knowledge of nursing home regulations.
