Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Development: Create and uphold a comprehensive suite of safety and environmental initiatives, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
  • Injury Prevention: Design and execute a program aimed at minimizing workplace injuries and illnesses, incorporating area assessments, injury investigations, and establishing clear, measurable objectives.
  • Safety Improvements: Utilize expertise in industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, and safety standards to rectify working conditions, develop loss control strategies, and devise methods for evaluating safety advancements.
  • Best Practices Sharing: Evaluate, share, and implement HSE best practices across various sites.
  • Management Systems: Establish, implement, and maintain Environmental and Safety Management systems in line with ISO 14001/ISO 18001, providing performance reports to senior management and recommending enhancements.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary contact between local, state, and federal regulatory bodies, corporate entities, and insurance representatives to ensure compliance at the facility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an EHS Manager or EHS Specialist within a manufacturing context.
  • Experience in the automotive or commercial vehicle sectors is advantageous.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • A strong commitment to safety is essential.
