About the Role

The Internal Revenue Service is seeking a highly skilled Management and Program Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Research, Applied Analytics and Statistics Division, you will play a critical role in supporting the determination of correct Federal tax liability and tax examinations of our taxpayers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and carry through to completion broad, long-term analytical studies as part of our National Research Program.
  • Collect, analyze, and consolidate tax data and status reports to determine compliance with established goals and objectives of the National Research Program.
  • Analyze NRP examination program functions and/or areas to discern trends in program delivery.
Requirements
  • 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
  • Experience applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques in developing new procedures or approaches, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Experience with planning, organizing, and carrying through to completion substantive analytical NRP examination studies or projects data to identify trends and resolve problems.
  • Experience using statistical functions to analyze data (averages, standard deviation, and trend analysis).
