Position Overview:
The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, making necessary adjustments and repairs, replacing components, and addressing any malfunctions or deficiencies in aircraft systems, both with and without power applied. The role involves accessing and reinstalling aircraft components that may hinder the completion of assigned tasks. The technician will also perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical systems of corporate aircraft within a service center or MRO facility.
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute advanced troubleshooting and repair of aircraft systems.
  • Carry out repairs on flight control systems.
  • Conduct preliminary inspections of aircraft to verify airworthiness prior to test flights.
  • Perform inspections, adjustments, repairs, and component replacements, addressing any malfunctions or deficiencies.
  • Access and reinstall aircraft components that obstruct task performance.
  • Conduct basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations.
  • Document all work performed in accordance with the Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM).
  • Assist Aircraft Engine Technicians and Electronic/Avionics Technicians in troubleshooting and repairing aircraft.
  • Support repairs on components detached from the aircraft, such as flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudders, doors, and leading edges.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the performance of their duties within areas of qualification.
  • Troubleshoot aircraft for issues during routine inspections.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairing interior and/or mechanical and electrical components according to applicable flight test procedures during test flights.
  • Perform structural modifications or repairs as needed.
  • Handle engine removal and installation tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair components detached from the aircraft, including flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudders, doors, and leading edges.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, inspections, functional testing, troubleshooting, and/or repair of aircraft mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Possession of an Airframe & Powerplant License is mandatory.
Additional Information
  • Employment Type: Contract to direct hire (long-term open-ended contract option also available).
  • Available Shifts: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
  • Compensation: Pay rate up to $52/hour (per diem available for eligible candidates).
