Are you a skilled Aircraft Mechanic? Digital Prospectors is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic to become a vital part of the Production Design, Verification, & Validation group (GAD5).

The Aircraft Mechanic will be responsible for executing tasks that require expertise in electro-dynamic and electro-hydraulic vibration shakers, thermal chambers, vacuum chambers, centrifuges, high-speed cameras, magnetic field testing, motion control systems, and various environmental test apparatus with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and testing protocols for the handling and examination of inertial equipment throughout the laboratory.
  • Assist in the logistics of shipping, receiving, tracking, moving, and inspecting guidance systems.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all guidance logistics activities.
  • Conduct data collection using portable vibration controls, data acquisition systems, and digital recorders according to the standard operating procedures with limited supervision.
  • Maintain test logs and document data during test operations in the test cell.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Supervise personnel and contractors as required.
  • Support the repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic testing equipment.
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the laboratories.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from a two-year technical institution with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Capability to configure and operate Unholtz-Dickie Apex vibration controllers and Precision Filters products with guidance from technical personnel.
  • Ability to configure and operate Acutronic controller products with assistance from technical staff.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for using torque wrenches and other installation tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while operating team-based testing equipment.
  • Competence in completing tasks on schedule with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to meticulously document work in accordance with unit policy, either in handwritten form or using common software applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is essential.
  • Knowledge of vibration, shock, acoustic, pressure, linear and angular acceleration, and thermal theory is advantageous.
  • Possession of key certifications to support facility operations (e.g., Facility Casualty certified, Crane certified, ESD certified).

Due to the nature of the work, an active Secret government security clearance is mandatory.

Candidates must be United States Citizens as the laboratory operates as a cleared facility.
