We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Swedes Auto Repair. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Inspection and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle engines, mechanical, and electrical components to accurately diagnose issues.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work, including replacing fluids, lubricating parts, and repairing or replacing broken or dysfunctional components.
  • Diagnostic Systems and Methods: Utilize working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods to troubleshoot and repair complex issues.
  • Estimation and Communication: Provide accurate estimates for repair or maintenance jobs and effectively communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment and tools in good condition to ensure efficient and safe work practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or related field.
  • Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
  • Diagnostic Systems: Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
  • Physical Condition: Excellent physical condition to handle various tools and heavy equipment.
  • Education: High school diploma preferred; certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship preferred.
  • Certification: Valid certification (e.g. ASE) is a definite plus, but not required.
