Overview

The Specialty Clinical Programs Pharmacist plays a pivotal role in driving strategic approaches to specialty drug therapy optimization and clinical programs. This position requires collaboration with multiple teams across the enterprise to maximize the impact of these initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical Reporting and Analysis: Utilize clinical information systems and integrated platforms to collect, analyze, and report on patient data, ensuring enhanced clinical outcomes and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Evaluate complex situations, identify potential problems, and devise effective solutions, applying critical thinking skills to make informed decisions in clinical environments.
  • Independence and Teamwork: Manage tasks and responsibilities independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues, healthcare providers, and stakeholders, demonstrating flexibility in both individual and team settings.
  • Financial Acumen: Manage budgets, control costs, and contribute to the financial health of the organization, identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing resource use.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Work with large datasets, extract meaningful insights, and present findings to inform decision-making, applying proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Clinical Program Development: Develop, implement, and manage clinical programs, from initial planning stages to execution, monitoring, and evaluation of program outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy; PharmD preferred. Licensed as RPh granted by appropriate state licensing and in good standing required.
  • Experience: 5 years related work experience required in specialty pharmacy; demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical care, pharmacy systems, and design of clinical programs.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Design, implementation, and maintenance of clinical programs; develop and execute specialty drug therapy optimization strategies; produce presentations and reports; lead analysis and generation of insights related to specialty drug trends.
