Pharmacist Opportunity at Giant Food

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our Clinical Pharmacy Team at Giant Food. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting health and wellness in our community.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient prescription processing and adherence to state and federal regulations.
  • Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently, utilizing the latest pharmacy systems to integrate clinical decision-making, drug utilization review, and medication therapy management.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Program Team to coordinate and execute off-site immunization clinics, health and wellness activities, and community outreach programs to promote Giant pharmacy services.
  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager with ordering and maintaining pharmaceutical inventory, ensuring accurate and timely restocking.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, offering counseling and over-the-counter recommendations, and promoting Giant pharmacy services.
  • Supervise pharmacy support staff, assigning roles and managing workflow to enhance the customer experience.
  • Communicate effectively with the Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacy Team, and Store Manager to support pharmacy promotion programs and health and wellness initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and/or Doctor of Pharmacy.
  • Previous experience in retail pharmacy, with a strong understanding of inventory control and management.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional travel to other stores.
  • Valid CPR license or basic life support certificate, as well as immunization certifications in accordance with state regulations.
  • Strong proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
