About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our Camera Algorithms Team at Apple. As a member of this team, you will play a key role in developing foundational image and video capture, processing, and rendering algorithms that impact every photo and video on all Apple products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop machine learning technologies for computational photography, computer vision, and image processing problems
  • Implement, optimize, and integrate algorithms into our products, collaborating closely with various functional teams across Apple
  • Work alongside HW/SW/FW teams to prototype, integrate, and optimize algorithms tailored to the hardware capabilities
  • Engage with the silicon team to perform low-level neural network optimization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of industry experience
  • Demonstrated ability in developing machine learning algorithms for computational photography/computer vision and image processing problems
  • Proficiency in using ML toolkits, such as PyTorch
  • Strong programming skills in Python or C/C++

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record in machine learning-based image and video processing, demonstrated through relevant industry experiences or publications in top-tier conferences
  • Experience in image restoration (de-noising, super resolution, enhancement, etc.)
  • Skilled in communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
