Key Responsibilities:

As an Optical Sales Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with their eyewear selections and ensuring proper adjustments for optimal fit and functionality. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking precise measurements and fitting eyewear to meet patient specifications.
  • Engaging with customers to understand their needs through open-ended questions.
  • Reviewing prescriptions and collaborating with optometrists as necessary.
  • Custom fitting glasses and ensuring quality inspections of eyewear.
  • Demonstrating in-depth product knowledge and effectively communicating the features and benefits of various eyewear options.
  • Identifying potential issues and developing long-term solutions for patient concerns.
  • Educating patients about eyewear options and committing to delivery timelines.
  • Maintaining an organized and visually appealing display of eyewear.
  • Understanding and adhering to patient privacy rights in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Open to embracing new technologies and changes.
  • Excellent customer service and retail skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic math skills are essential.
  • ABO certification and optical dispensing experience are preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with current optical frame styles and trends.
  • Knowledge of OfficeMate software is a plus.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
