Your Responsibilities:
As an Optical Sales Specialist, you will play a key role in assisting patients with their eyewear selections and ensuring a perfect fit. Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking precise measurements and adjusting eyewear to meet patient specifications.
- Engaging with customers to understand their needs through open-ended questions.
- Reviewing prescriptions and collaborating with optometrists as necessary.
- Custom fitting glasses and ensuring eyewear meets quality standards.
- Demonstrating in-depth product knowledge and effectively communicating the features and benefits of various lenses and frames.
- Identifying and addressing patient concerns to develop long-term solutions.
- Educating patients about eyewear options and confirming delivery timelines.
- Maintaining an organized and appealing display of eyewear.
- Upholding patient privacy rights in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptable to new technologies and changes.
- Excellent customer service and retail experience.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic math skills are essential.
- American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certification and optical dispensing experience preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with current optical frame styles and trends.
- Knowledge of OfficeMate is a plus.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
