Your Responsibilities:

As an Optical Sales Specialist, you will play a key role in assisting patients with their eyewear selections and ensuring a perfect fit. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking precise measurements and adjusting eyewear to meet patient specifications.
  • Engaging with customers to understand their needs through open-ended questions.
  • Reviewing prescriptions and collaborating with optometrists as necessary.
  • Custom fitting glasses and ensuring eyewear meets quality standards.
  • Demonstrating in-depth product knowledge and effectively communicating the features and benefits of various lenses and frames.
  • Identifying and addressing patient concerns to develop long-term solutions.
  • Educating patients about eyewear options and confirming delivery timelines.
  • Maintaining an organized and appealing display of eyewear.
  • Upholding patient privacy rights in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable to new technologies and changes.
  • Excellent customer service and retail experience.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic math skills are essential.
  • American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certification and optical dispensing experience preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with current optical frame styles and trends.
  • Knowledge of OfficeMate is a plus.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
