Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the daily production and distribution of all pastries, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring that recipes and standards are followed, food costs are controlled, and appropriate quantities are prepared based on established production needs.
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
  • Monitor and control the maintenance and sanitation of the pastry kitchen and equipment to ensure a work environment that meets/exceeds federal, state, and corporate standards and regulations.
  • Supervise hourly kitchen/pastry associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews, and recommending disciplinary action as appropriate.
  • Help plan and implement seasonal menus, ensuring that they are aligned with our clients' needs and preferences.
  • Order and maintain pastry supplies and products to ensure appropriate inventory levels.
Requirements
  • 4-5 years of baking/pastry experience is required.
  • Plated dessert experience in a catering atmosphere is preferred.
