Position Overview
The Financial Client Associate role at The Forge Companies is designed to assist a team of Financial Advisors in delivering comprehensive financial planning and investment strategies to our clientele. This position involves direct interaction with clients and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to execute financial planning recommendations crafted by the Financial Advisor. The Financial Client Associate will gain insights into the operational processes, services, systems, and methodologies employed by The Forge Companies to effectively serve our clients. A FINRA Series 65 license and a Life & Health insurance license are prerequisites for this role, or the candidate must be willing to secure both within one year of employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Financial Advisor in the formulation, design, delivery, and execution of financial planning and investment solutions.
- Support the Financial Advisor in conducting thorough reviews of each client's financial landscape.
- Help the Financial Advisor in collecting and organizing documents prior to client consultations.
- Act as the primary liaison for the Financial Advisor regarding all administrative elements of client service.
- Coordinate internally to fulfill client requests and manage client accounts.
- Facilitate and manage client document inquiries.
- Schedule and document client meetings as per the Financial Advisor's instructions.
- Serve as the client contact in the absence of the Financial Advisor.
- Oversee all operational aspects of client service for the Financial Advisor.
- Monitor the completion of new account documentation and the funding of accounts.
- Prepare and submit paperwork for account maintenance.
- Manage and circulate requests for client distributions.
- Keep the firm's contact management system updated with relevant activity.
- Handle all client correspondence professionally, ensuring accurate communication.
- Maintain a high standard of service for both internal and external clients.
- Research and propose updates to processes as necessary.
- Commit to learning the financial planning methodology utilized by The Forge Companies, particularly for our unique clientele, which primarily includes individuals receiving lawsuit settlements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- Series 65 licensed (must obtain within one year if not already licensed).
- Life and Health Insurance licensed (must obtain within one year if not already licensed).
- Experience in a client service role or within the financial services sector.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for client meetings.
- Detail-oriented with strong mathematical and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Process-driven and capable of teamwork.
- Proficient in computer and software applications.
Physical and Travel Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
- Travel is minimal, less than 10% of the time, with occasional travel required.
- Hybrid work schedule available.
