Position Overview


We are seeking a skilled
RN Administrator to oversee our hospice operations. This role is pivotal in utilizing your leadership skills to enhance the quality of care provided to our patients and their families.

As an
Administrator, you will report to the Assistant Vice President of Operations and will be accountable for the daily management of your designated hospice location.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating patient admissions to Hospice Services efficiently and ensuring that ancillary services are seamlessly integrated.

Moreover, you will supervise, direct, and evaluate hospice staff and volunteers, ensuring effective communication among all team members at the multi-disciplinary site.


Key Responsibilities
Exhibit a strong commitment to quality care and service excellence.

Implement continuous quality improvement strategies in daily operations.


Ensure compliance with standards set by accrediting bodies, regulatory agencies, and applicable laws related to your responsibilities.

Develop and enforce policies and procedures.

Effectively manage Human Resources.

Facilitate positive communication and keep staff informed of any changes through regular meetings. Be accessible to staff for any arising issues.


Oversee core orientation and ongoing training for employees, volunteers, and contract personnel as directed by the Administrator.

Responsible for the selection, supervision, and assessment of interdisciplinary team members.


Guide teams towards achieving performance goals and standards; regularly review and adjust efforts as necessary.

Assign tasks based on individual strengths and ensure equitable workload distribution.

Manage Office Operations efficiently

Organize tasks and resources to meet strategic objectives.

Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services.

Monitor and supervise the quality of patient care at assigned locations. Handle emergency calls and requests for assistance.


May be required to conduct routine visits to patient homes or participate in an on-call schedule (if a Registered Nurse).

Collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and staff regarding concerns and needs.

Oversee family satisfaction surveys in partnership with the Administrator.

Manage financial resources responsibly and effectively.

Conduct financial reviews with the Administrator.

Ensure that annual expenditures align with the budget. Review monthly bills, supply costs, expense requests, and payroll.

Qualifications

Education
Registered Nurse with a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing required.

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution preferred.

Master's degree in business, nursing, or a related field preferred.

Experience
Minimum one year of management or supervisory experience required.

Two or More Years' Experience in Hospice/Home Care Required.
Three years of direct patient care experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration
Three to five years of healthcare sales or management experience preferred.

Current nursing license in the state of employment, if applicable.

CPR Certification

Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.

Equipment/Tools/Work-Aids:
Must be proficient in operating computers, fax machines, copiers, and mobile phones. Must have reliable transportation for work-related duties.
