POSITION SUMMARY:
The Nurse Practitioner plays a vital role in the evaluation, planning, execution, and management of patient care under the guidance of a licensed physician.

- Minimal on-call responsibilities (phone consultations only, one week per year).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide outpatient medical consultation services under the supervision of a physician in a clinical setting.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat both new and ongoing medical conditions of patients.
- Conduct follow-up care for patients.
- Order and interpret laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications and refer patients for additional consultations as necessary.
- Respond to emergency calls after hours and on weekends on a rotating basis.
- Administer and prescribe medications for patients.
- Document all patient interactions and treatment procedures in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations.
- Provide health education and resources to patients and their families.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned in accordance with nursing protocols.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Nursing.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in Georgia.
- Active registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
- Preferred clinical experience in Family Practice.
