The Automation Systems Engineer II will research, define, and support the development of software and application architectures used for automated manufacturing systems. This position requires sitting in Fargo, ND.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Specify, design, and document automation system architectures
  • Assist software developers to ensure software, systems, and applications meet requirements
  • Deliver project assignments on time
  • Successfully support projects through completion, either independently or within a team
  • Utilize appropriate development tools and version control software for system design documentation
  • Provide excellent customer service to support in-house applications
  • Apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to support systems team
  • Maintain software, systems, and application architecture documentation
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 2-4 years of experience or equivalent education and experience required
  • Experience with manufacturing system technology such as SCADA, MES, OEE, and databases preferred
  • Experience programming using Java, C#, Python, and T-SQL preferred
  • Willingness and ability to remain current on changes in the development industry through continuing educational activities
  • Ability to travel as required
