Job Summary

The Marvin company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join its team. As a key member of the engineering department, this role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for manufacturing and facility equipment across the Marvin family of brands.

This position involves close collaboration with various teams, including manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, systems, and facility personnel, to ensure the successful implementation of automated manufacturing controls systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with expertise in PLC and Operator Interface programming languages. Additionally, they will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to provide technical support to maintenance personnel and operators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain control systems for manufacturing and facility equipment
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure successful implementation of automated manufacturing controls systems
  • Provide technical support to maintenance personnel and operators
  • Lead the controls team through projects of all sizes and scopes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent 4-year degree in a related field
  • Four or more years related experience/training
  • Expert knowledge of PLC and Operator Interface programming languages
  • Ability to use electrical test equipment and hand tools
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office Suite
