Job Summary:
Civil litigation paralegals play a crucial role in supporting attorneys in estate and trust litigation matters. We are seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to join our team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals across the United States. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in case preparation and management, including conducting legal research and analysis on estate and trust matters.
  • Coordinate communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Organize and maintain accurate case files, including drafting legal documents and preparing for client meetings, hearings, and legal proceedings.
  • Support attorneys in estate litigation matters, including preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Handle probate and estate administration matters from start to finish, including asset identification, valuation, petitions, inventories, and accountings.
  • Educate clients on estate planning processes and probate procedures, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and billing.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in estate or civil litigation.
  • Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Ability to conduct legal research and analysis on estate, trust, probate, and estate litigation matters.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate case files and correspondence.
  • Experience in estate administration tasks, including asset identification, valuation, petitions, inventories, and accountings.
  • Familiarity with drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
  • Knowledge of probate procedures and estate planning processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interactions, as well as coordination with opposing counsel and other parties.
