Position Summary / Purpose

The Operations Manager oversees all manufacturing activities and personnel to ensure adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs) while prioritizing safety, quality, and compliance with production policies and procedures. The Operations Manager maintains open lines of communication with company leadership to foster business alignment.

  • Supervise daily plant operations, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.

  • Plan, organize, and execute optimal daily operations to exceed customer expectations.
  • Enhance production capacity and flexibility while minimizing costs and upholding quality standards.
  • Collaborate with management and clients to schedule production jobs in alignment with customer deadlines.
  • Assist in sustaining production capacity through effective staffing, equipment, and supply management.
  • Develop systems and processes to monitor and optimize productivity, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective asset utilization.
  • Manage manufacturing cost structures by maintaining operational expenses within budget and exploring cost-reduction strategies.
  • Allocate resources efficiently and maximize asset utilization for optimal outcomes.
  • Ensure all resources and assets are utilized effectively and correctly, including consumables.
  • Maintain accurate documentation flow between production and management.
  • Ensure a continuous production flow and redirect personnel to priority areas based on needs and capabilities.
  • Be accountable for production output, product quality, and timely inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Implement effective scheduling practices for deliveries and pickups.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA regulations through safety personnel.
  • Support ongoing improvements in production processes and procedures.
  • Implement strategies aligned with strategic initiatives, providing clear direction and focus.
  • Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
  • Oversee scheduled and urgent equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings with the production team.
  • Provide assistance and support across all departments.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Stay informed about the latest best practices and concepts in production management.
