Job Summary

The Advanced Quality Planning Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of new products and product modifications. This involves working closely with the cross-functional Product Development Team to facilitate the use of AQP tools and manage project risk. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of metrology and GD&T, as well as experience with statistics and quality engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure project quality plans are focused on the voice of the customer and all project quality deliverables are completed in a timely manner.
* Perform process and product quality audits to qualify new production processes and ensure compliance to documented control plans.
* Facilitate the development of measurement plans and methods, and lead the disposition of new products at FOT and qualification.
* Conduct process flow reviews, design and process FMEA, and provide inputs on internal and external quality history.

Requirements

* BS degree in engineering or related field.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in quality engineering or related field.
* Solid knowledge and understanding of metrology and GD&T.
* Knowledge of statistics and experience using Minitab or other software.
* Experience using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

* Training in DOE, Advanced Quality Planning tools like DFMEA, Lean/Six Sigma, Control plan, reliability test plans.
* Experience in quality engineering in a new-product introduction environment.
* Experience performing PFMEA/DFMEA and using other Advanced Quality Planning tools.
* Working knowledge of manufacturing, testing, molding, and assembly processes.
* Quality System (ISO 9001 or TS/IATF 16949) and supplier auditing experience, gage and fixture design.
* Experience in the automotive industry.
