Clinical Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist

About the Role:
The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is seeking a board-certified medical physicist to join our team as an Associate Professor or Full Professor. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive clinical medical physics services at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and contribute to the scholarship development of other faculty, resident trainees, and students at USC/Keck.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all physics-related aspects of treatment delivery, machine performance, and quality assurance are within acceptable tolerances.
- Provide physics consultation with physicians or dosimetrists to evaluate feasibility and quality of treatment plans.
- Oversee the delivery of brachytherapy to ensure radiation safety and treatment accuracy.
- Perform or supervise acceptance testing and commissioning of new treatment delivery hardware or software.
- Provide educational support to radiation oncology residents, medical school students, and other students.
Requirements:
- ABR/ABMP Board Certified and California Registered TCP.
- Associate Professor or Full Professor rank eligibility.
- 7+ years of clinical practice experience in an academic setting, preferably with leadership and education experiences, and research.
We Offer:
A highly competitive salary package with excellent benefits, including a base salary range of $245,000 - $330,000 and potential for incentive compensation.
