Bridges Alternative Peer Group (APG) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting teens and their families affected by addiction. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization through its next chapter of growth and expansion.

About the Role:

The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial management of Bridges. This includes developing and executing a comprehensive strategic plan, increasing program capacity, and implementing scalable processes to support organizational growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit management, fundraising, and program development, with a passion for supporting youth in recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to scale Bridges' program
  • Increase program capacity by 25-50%
  • Implement scalable processes that support organizational growth while maintaining program integrity
  • Ensure the continued success of Bridges' peer recovery programs for both teens and parents
  • Develop new activities and services that promote recovery and community engagement
  • Use data to inform and refine programs
  • Collaborate with the Board to shape organizational strategy, goals, and policy development
  • Ensure the organization fulfills its mission by executing the Board's vision
  • Strengthen governance practices and build a strong partnership with the Board
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain a talented, dedicated team of staff members and volunteers
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, respect, and inclusion where everyone feels valued and empowered
  • Lead fundraising initiatives to diversify revenue streams and ensure financial sustainability
  • Cultivate relationships with existing and potential donors, foundations, grantors, and corporate partners
  • Enhance Bridges' visibility through external communications, representing the organization at public events and in the media
Requirements:
  • Proven experience leading a nonprofit organization, department, or division with a budget of $500K+ and 3+ staff
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising and resource development, including individual donors, foundations, and corporate sponsorships
  • Expertise in nonprofit management, including program development, budgeting, financial oversight, and staff management
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, from teens to executives
  • Deep understanding of addiction recovery, especially youth-focused programs, with the ability to support both clients and families
  • Ability to lead with compassion, authenticity, and a commitment to serving others
  • SUDP (Substance Use Disorder Professional) certification preferred; willingness to pass a background check required
