Crane Operator Job Summary

Brayman Construction Corporation is seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our team in Wytheville, Virginia. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cranes in a heavy civil construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate cranes to lift and move heavy loads in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Assist team leaders and signal persons with pre-pick planning and coordination.
  • Inspect lifting gear to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Assure that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and correctly rigged.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be CCO/NCCCO certified.
  • Must be able to safely and accurately operate a crane.
  • Experience operating cranes in a heavy construction environment a plus.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
