Civil Engineer (PE) Job Description

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer (PE) to join our team in the Columbus, GA office. As a key member of our civil site design team, you will be responsible for preparing grading, drainage, site layout, utility, and erosion control plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, plans, permits, and designs for projects.
  • Support project managers by providing technical input and guidance for client conversations and multi-discipline design meetings.
  • Review work of other team members for quality and accuracy.
  • Attend client meetings and provide expert advice as needed.
  • Perform construction observation duties and ensure projects are completed to the highest standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for surface creation and underground utility modeling.
  • Ability to work as part of a fast-paced, high-achieving team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
