Your Role and Responsibilities

Utilize the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) framework to develop and execute effective sourcing strategies aligned with both local and global business objectives. Ensure suppliers possess the necessary capabilities and capacities to fulfill current and future business needs. Focus on achieving TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) savings, optimizing payment terms, enhancing OTD (On Time Delivery), maintaining quality standards, and adhering to budget targets through continuous improvement initiatives. Establish and maintain standard agreements with key suppliers, ensuring compliance with company directives and guidelines in purchase contracts. Design and implement cost-reduction programs and processes aimed at achieving annual savings and operational efficiency.

Qualifications for the Role
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, OR an Associate degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, or purchasing.
  • Proficient in software applications such as MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience with SAP and Ariba SSS is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proven negotiation skills in a multicultural, global business setting.
  • A collaborative, solution-oriented approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
