The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Ambulatory Resource Team as a Float Pool Nurse. This position requires the ability to float/travel to different pediatric after-hours clinics in Charleston and the surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, including rooming patients, point of care testing, and medication administration.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve desired results and outcomes.
- Provide individualized, goal-directed, and family-centered patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Completion of a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Minimum of six months experience as an LPN required.
- Licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state.
- A current CPR card is required.
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to patient-centered care philosophy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in a latex-safe environment.
