The Ambulatory Resource Team is the float pool for the ambulatory clinics within the Charleston division of MUSC Health. As a Licensed Practical Nurse II, you will be required to float/travel to the different pediatric after-hours clinics in Charleston and the surrounding area. These clinics are open M-F 2pm-10pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am-8pm.
Job Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality care to acutely ill children, including rooming patients, point of care testing, and medication administration.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve desired results and outcomes.
- Provide individualized, goal-directed, and family-centered patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Completion of a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Minimum of six months experience as LPN required.
- Licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state.
- A current CPR card is required; either an American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card or an American Red Cross Professional Rescuer card.
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to patient-centered care philosophy as evidenced by effective communications skills, professional demeanor, and excellent interpersonal skills.
This position will require the use of the LPN's skills in multiple physical locations under MUSC Health. The work environment will be fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
