Job Summary

The Ambulatory Resource Team is the float pool for the ambulatory clinics within the Charleston division of MUSC.

This position requires a highly motivated and adaptable LPN to float to both adult and pediatric clinics where they will be tasked with rooming/triaging patients, point of care testing, EKGs, medication administration, and both adult and pediatric vaccinations.

The LPN will be trained to work in adult and pediatric specialty clinics, primary care clinics and women's health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized, goal directed and family centered patient care
  • Deliver safe and effective care and interact with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results and outcomes
  • Work in multiple physical locations under MUSC Health
Requirements
  • Completion of a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card or an American Red Cross Professional Rescuer card
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment to patient centered care philosophy as evidenced by effective communications skills, professional demeanor, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Must be computer literate
Working Conditions
  • Frequent ability to perform 'pinching' operations
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Ability to work overtime as required
