Pediatric GI Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric GI Psychologist to join our team at VCU Health. As a member of our academic unit, you will have the opportunity to contribute to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research.
Key Responsibilities:- Teaching: Provide guidance and mentorship to residents and chief residents in pediatric GI/psychology.
- Scholarship: Engage in reasonable scholarly activities, such as program evaluation, research, publications, and presentations at national meetings.
- Service: Serve on departmental or School of Medicine level committees and participate in professional organizations.
- Clinical: Serve as a psychologist in the Psychiatry Child and Adolescent Psychology Division and in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition.
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical Counseling from an APA-accredited doctoral program.
- Virginia licensed or eligible.
- Experience in treating patients ages birth to 21 with gastroenterological disorders, with an emphasis on pediatric motility and functional GI disorders.
- Experience with education of house-staff, medical students, and others.
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
- Sub-board certification and/or additional graduate degree.
- Experience with non-pharmacological management of GI disorders.
- Research experience, program evaluation, and/or publications.
- Experience with advocacy at local, state, and national levels.
