Overview

The ideal candidate will deliver Radio Frequency (RF) technical expertise to the Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP) - Multi-Domain Effects (MDE) Division. This role involves providing guidance and oversight for the design and development of technologies that facilitate multi-domain effects transition and deployment. As a recognized authority for Department of Defense (DoD) program managers, the candidate will spearhead advanced initiatives in RF technology, particularly focusing on electronic warfare and cyberspace operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership and Innovation:

  • Direct mission analysis and establish RF and Software Defined Radio (SDR) reference frameworks, ensuring they meet operational needs.
  • Oversee comprehensive testing and measurements to inform future design and development strategies.
  • Remain informed on cutting-edge advancements in RF, SDR, electronic warfare, and cyber domains; validate technical report publications.

Operational Support and Governance:

  • Formulate and enforce policies, standards, and recommendations for RF force structuring.
  • Guarantee adherence to regulatory and security standards while conducting risk evaluations.
  • Keep abreast of emerging threats and innovations within RF sectors.

Agile Program Management and Collaboration:

  • Apply Agile methodologies for effective program management and iterative development processes.
  • Manage project backlogs, ensuring alignment with performance goals.
  • Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning to set SMART objectives, milestones, dependencies, and assess program risks.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government entities, industry collaborators, and academic institutions, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience within DoD/IC or related industry, including at least three (3) years in a Special Access Program (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environment.
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Experience should encompass RF research and development, electromagnetics, electronic warfare, cyberspace operations, and Radar Cross Section (RCS) measurements.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, work independently, and identify management issues requiring escalation.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and reporting communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Must hold an active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility, be capable of obtaining a polygraph, and have an existing polygraph highly preferred.
