About the Center:
The Rapid Prototyping Research Center (RPRC) is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for its Department of Defense (DoD) partners, aligning with Section 804 of the FY17 National Defense Authorization Act. Instead of creating entirely new systems for complex battlefield challenges, the RPRC focuses on integrating cutting-edge technology into pre-existing frameworks. This strategy not only minimizes acquisition expenses but also significantly shortens the timeline for deploying effective solutions from a decade to just a few years. It ensures that the prototypes developed are equipped with the latest advancements in technology.
About the Position:
The Electromagnetic Systems Engineer will engage in all phases of program development, ranging from Internet of Things (IoT) devices to intricate system-of-systems products. Responsibilities include aiding in the definition, design, development, integration, documentation, and testing of new technologies and products. Additionally, the engineer will collaborate with the Program Manager to uphold the program timeline, contribute to proposals, manage the program budget, and prepare reports and briefings.
