Job Summary

Olympia Entertainment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Motion Graphics Designer to join our Creative Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating impactful and engaging content for the Red Wings, Tigers, and Ilitch Sports + Entertainment. Your primary focus will be on producing high-quality motion graphics that consistently implement the organization's branding across various platforms, including stadium/arena displays, social media, and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the organization's brand design look and feel, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and produce motion graphics for live events, social media, and digital platforms.
  • Design and create engaging content, including pumpers, player personality videos, and other in-arena content.
  • Work closely with the Art Director and Manager of Motion Graphics to plan and create the organization's brand look and feel for each season.
  • Integrate 3D elements into motion graphic productions and create compelling motion graphics and infographics.
  • Manage projects, provide art direction, and assist in managing content used on all platforms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Motion Graphic Design, Illustration, Art Media, or Digital Design, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of design experience in sports motion design, ad agency, or design firm.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work with a team and receive and implement feedback.
  • Proficiency in 3D applications, such as Cinema 4D, 3DS Max, or Blender, and experience creating broadcast-quality motion graphics for live productions.
  • Strong understanding of motion graphic development, design background, and advanced knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Premiere and experience with finishing edited productions, including rotoscoping effects, color correction, and other video treatments.
Working Conditions
  • Irregular and extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Continuous visual attention and exposure to moderate noise levels.
