Job Title: Instructional Design Specialist

Join the Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network team as an Instructional Design Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in creating engaging and effective learning experiences for our staff and community partners.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Instructional Design Specialist to support the development of online education, web meetings, and video production. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with subject matter experts to create compelling course content, develop learning systems, and provide technical support for our learning management system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop eLearning and web-based trainings, including storyboarding and content creation.
  • Assist in writing in-person training materials, data collection manuals, and documents.
  • Conduct in-person training sessions and provide technical support for our learning management system.
  • Collaborate with project and training leads to produce clear, concise training products that meet the needs of our diverse audience.
  • Assess training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop questions and specifications for computer-assisted survey instruments and draft testing scripts.
  • Work with subject matter experts to create engaging learning activities and compelling course content.
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods to ensure the highest quality learning experiences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in instructional design and instructional technology, with a focus on eLearning and web-based training.
  • Intermediate graphic design, web technology, and Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop.
  • Teaching, training, and technical writing experience.
  • Valid State of Michigan Driver's License with a safe and acceptable driving record.
Working Conditions

This is a remote position that requires occasional travel to different sites throughout Wayne County and the State of Michigan. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a virtual environment and communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders.
