Fleet Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

Transdev is currently seeking ASE certified mechanics for our fleet maintenance operations. We are in search of skilled and knowledgeable technicians to troubleshoot and repair various vehicles and equipment, while conducting routine safety inspections under general oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct maintenance on transit vehicles adhering to company standards
  • Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair assigned transit vehicles and associated mechanical systems
  • Ensure proper upgrades and modifications on vehicle systems, including on-the-road repairs as necessary
  • Guide and mentor team members within the work group
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Experience in maintaining various types of transit buses
  • Commercial Driving License to be obtained within two years
  • Preferred Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to read and interpret safety documents, blueprints, schematics, and mechanical diagrams
  • Must pass a DOT physical examination, including background and drug testing
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work flexible shifts as required
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands for manipulation, reach with arms, and communicate effectively
  • Frequent sitting required
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments with moderate noise levels
  • Exposure to water, fumes, and chemicals may occur
Who You Are:

At least 21 years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent

A valid driver's license in good standing with the ability to obtain a CDL permit

Possess excellent customer service and communication skills

Punctual with a strong emphasis on attendance
