Position Summary:
This role involves performing both major and minor mechanical repairs on a variety of company vehicles, including automobiles, diesel trucks, and other machinery. The technician will work with minimal supervision to ensure the optimal performance and safety of the fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the Company Safety Program and Policies while executing tasks safely.
- Diagnose and repair company vehicles and equipment as necessary.
- Conduct technical diagnostics and major repairs on:
- Passenger vehicles
- Light-duty trucks
- Heavy-duty trucks
- Trailers
- Loaders
- Mining equipment
- Other designated machinery
- Ensure all work aligns with established schedules, policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Provide guidance and support to fellow employees regarding maintenance and repair techniques.
- Participate in departmental activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.

Emergency Response:
- Respond to emergency service calls for repairs or towing of equipment that has malfunctioned outside of the garage. Perform duties at various locations as required.

Shop Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area, ensuring safety standards are upheld.

Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or Certification in Diesel or Automotive Technology, with five years of relevant experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licenses and Certifications:
- A valid driver's license is required, and candidates must be insurable under the company's insurance policy.
- A valid CDL is preferred or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe.

Skills and Abilities:
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively.
- Must possess a complete set of tools necessary for job functions; diagnostic tools will be provided.
- Proficient knowledge of maintenance skills, including welding, electrical and mechanical systems, engines, and brakes.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
