Texoma Community Center (TCC) is one of 39 Texas Community Centers, which are governmental entities as defined by Title 7 of the Texas Health and Safety Code.

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the coordination of emergency, routine, and preventative maintenance as well as periodic inspections of Center facilities, and equipment in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Texoma Community Center. This position will participate in a rotating on-call schedule and will be adaptive to ever changing priorities and maintenance needs. Operates under trauma-informed and recovery-oriented models of care which align with CCBHC standards.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma OR GED equivalent with at least two (2) years previous experience in any of the following areas: mechanics, carpentry, welding, plumbing, or electrical maintenance preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with mental illness, IDD and/ or substance use issues desirable

Certificates, Licensure, Registrations:

  • Current driver’s license
  • Current motor vehicle insurance
  • Plumbing or Electrical License desirable, but not required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to speak a second language relevant to population served preferred
  • Must be self-motivated, organized and detail oriented
  • Exceptional knowledge of Office Suite required
  • Consistently practices Trauma-informed Model of Care, understands and considers the pervasive nature of trauma.
  • The knowledge of cultural differences and ability to work with individuals from different cultural backgrounds
