Lead Nurse Job Description

The Lead Nurse plays a crucial role in coordinating clinical operations and activities on their nursing unit. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate patient care activities and ensure smooth workflow on the nursing unit.
  • Provide direct patient care and supervise nursing staff to ensure compliance with nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Distribute workload assignments and facilitate team collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
  • Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • 2 years of Nursing experience, preferably in long-term care.
