Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify requirements, develop plans, and coordinate staffing needs to ensure efficient Field Customer Service and Operations.
  • Manage after-hours emergency calls from customers, coordinating field responses through established protocols to guarantee public safety. Collaborate with emergency services to gather critical information for timely responses.
  • Organize daily work schedules, accommodate time-off requests, and assess the need for additional resources, managing same-day time-off requests effectively.
  • Communicate with field staff regarding assignments, monitoring progress and adjusting as necessary to ensure completion of tasks throughout the day.
  • Oversee cyclical maintenance and compliance activities to ensure adherence to regulations while optimizing resource utilization. Plan monthly workloads by integrating program tasks with scheduled work, balancing workloads to minimize overtime.
  • Act as the primary contact between field supervisors and personnel during incidents, outages, and other occurrences, responsible for research and communication of status updates to affected customers.
  • Utilize mapping and GPS software to enhance response times for emergencies and appointments, as well as other tools for managing work orders and tracking accounts affected by construction or emergencies.
  • Submit notifications for damages and prepare associated reports, ensuring timely communication with field staff and supervisors.
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate the following skills:
  • Proficient in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • Ability to maintain composure and engage effectively in a dynamic environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Strong planning, attention to detail, scheduling, and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely follow-through on issues.
  • Analytical skills to assess data and present viable alternatives and solutions.
  • Adaptability to change, fostering teamwork in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with natural gas utilities and field operations is preferred.
  • Entry-level candidates with dispatching experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in data analysis to identify issues is beneficial.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including holidays, nights, weekends, and emergency coverage as needed.
  • Experience with electronic mapping systems is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred; relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
