Position Overview:
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing event setup activities and operational functions within the venue. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth execution of events and maintaining high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and supervise all operational services related to venue activities.
2. Recruit, train, and mentor part-time staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
3. Monitor safety protocols and ensure all staff adhere to safety guidelines.
4. Collaborate with Human Resources for staff evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
5. Plan and coordinate work schedules for facility operations, ensuring efficient staffing and resource allocation.
6. Review event documentation to anticipate staffing and equipment requirements for upcoming events.
7. Liaise with concessionaires and audio-visual teams to coordinate facility arrangements.
8. Oversee housekeeping and changeover crews, providing necessary support and guidance.
9. Maintain equipment and report any repair needs to the Director of Operations.
10. Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients, fostering a positive work environment.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years' experience in an operations role within a similar environment.
- Advanced degree in Facility Management or a related field may substitute for experience.
- Proficient in basic computer skills, with advanced knowledge of MS Office applications preferred.
- Strong leadership abilities and experience managing teams in a dynamic setting.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and requirements.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move equipment, with frequent lifting of up to 30 lbs and occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.
- Capability to operate forklifts and high lifts as necessary.
- Frequent movement throughout the facility to interact with staff and clients.

Work Environment:
- Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor tasks, subject to varying weather conditions.
- Noise levels may range from minimal to moderate on non-event days, increasing during events.
