Key Responsibilities- Lead and produce technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models that meet our specifications and client needs.
- Develop and finalize designs involving plumbing, HVAC systems, industrial ventilation, process piping systems, and other mechanical building systems.
- Collaborate with Sr. Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders on specific objectives, complex features, and problem-solving.
- Apply standard design techniques and procedures, exercising judgment in adapting and modifying design concepts to ensure quality control.
- Coordinate with other design disciplines to ensure design package needs are met.
- Lead, direct, and mentor associate engineers and designers, focusing on employee growth, project success, and overall performance.
- Perform field verifications and site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, qualifying for licensure in the state of practice, is required.
- An active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of practice or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months of employment is required.
- Experience working with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, PIPE-FLO, or similar hydraulic modeling software is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience with designs containing HVAC, chillers, boilers, pump hydraulics, exhaust, process chemicals, wastewater discharge, or other similar mechanical building systems.
- Experience in chemical distribution systems is a plus.
- Ability to interface with customers to define scope of work and basis of design.
