Caregiving Professional for Hospice Buffalo

Hospice Buffalo is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiving Professional to join our team. As a Certified Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and support to individuals in need.

About the RoleThis is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in nursing assistance, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personalized care and support to our patients, including assisting with daily living activities, managing medications, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, adhering to established standards and protocols
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Manage medications and treatments, as directed by licensed healthcare professionals
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
- Document patient progress and concerns, maintaining accurate and confidential records
- Certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- One year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a hospice or long-term care environment
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed
