Job Description

The Clinical Informatics Specialist plays a crucial role in optimizing the use of electronic medical records (EMRs) and other clinical platforms to enhance patient care, user satisfaction, and quality outcomes.

  • Designs and delivers education and training on devices and applications for clinical staff and managers.
  • Acts as the liaison between the agency and the EMR vendor for clinical enhancement and EMR development requests.
  • Contributes to ongoing agency efforts in designing, analyzing, testing, and implementing clinical technology platforms.
Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating a support structure for clinical departments to enhance technology adoption and efficiencies.
  • Promoting the use of evidence-based practice and workflow standardization.
  • Working closely with the Director of Quality and Analytics team to promote data-driven decision making.

This role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical informatics, preferably with experience in Go Live Support, Clinical Implementation, and Change Management Process.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, candidates must have:

  • A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited school and current RN or LPN licensure in New York State.
  • ANCC Nursing Informatics Certification preferred.
  • A valid NYS driver's license and vehicle for use during the workday.
