Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative is tasked with delivering estimates, scheduling appointments, and communicating work specifics to clients, necessitating a robust mechanical comprehension of vehicles. This position requires the ability to articulate the services performed clearly and accurately. Furthermore, the Customer Service Representative provides administrative assistance by generating reports, managing inquiries, and executing various clerical duties, including drafting correspondence, welcoming visitors, organizing documents, and processing client accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing the costs and timeframes required for diverse repair tasks.
  • Creating repair estimates by considering parts, supplies, and labor.
  • Documenting repair orders by detailing the vehicle's issues or symptoms.
  • Collaborating directly with the shop supervisor to optimize work assignments and repair efficiency.
  • Ensuring seamless communication between the company and clients.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive or diesel repair.
  • Familiarity with Medium and Heavy Duty repairs across various makes and models.
  • Proficient in utilizing Mitchell 1 labor guides.
  • Experience with Fullbay shop software.
  • Understanding of parts catalogs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer service abilities to effectively address client inquiries and concerns.
  • Critical thinking, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills to succeed in this role.
  • Capability to explain technical terms to clients.
  • Patience to manage diverse customer personalities.
  • Good decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in computer usage, including internet navigation and MS Office Excel for spreadsheets.
  • Analytical thinking.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
