Tavern on Rush will offer two levels of upscale dining, a vibrant bar, a spacious patio, and private dining options, alongside providing room service.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in overseeing a comprehensive wine selection and a craft cocktail program.
Compensation: Salary range of $75,000 - $80,000 plus benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a STRONG presence on the floor during service to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Design and implement a quarterly beverage strategy to enhance repeat patronage, boost word-of-mouth referrals, and drive sales.
- Regularly update service protocols and standard operating procedures for the bar in collaboration with the General Manager.
- Order necessary products and supplies to sustain the craft bar programs and batch systems.
- Ensure all team members are well-informed about our offerings; develop and conduct ongoing training sessions on wine, cocktails, spirits, and beer.
- Establish inspection and audit processes to guarantee adherence to craft cocktail and batch recipe standards.
- Collaborate with the GM to recruit, onboard, train, and supervise all hourly staff, holding the team accountable for consistent service.
- Engage front-of-house staff through pre-shift meetings focusing on service standards and special guests.
- Foster positive relationships with guests and address any concerns promptly.
- Conduct monthly beverage inventory and troubleshoot any discrepancies.
- Ensure staff compliance with restaurant policies and service standards, administering corrective actions when necessary.
- Manage cash and receipts by following cash handling and reconciliation protocols.
- Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and labor regulations.
Qualifications:
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in fast-paced, fine-dining or upscale management.
- 5+ years managing a wine program with over 200 selections and a craft cocktail program.
- Proficient in executing multiple private events during regular service hours.
- Familiarity with POS systems, reservation platforms, and scheduling tools.
- Strong financial management skills with a proven track record in cost control and profitability.
- Availability for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and holidays is essential.
