Position Overview:

We are seeking a Permanent Senior Revenue Accountant who is enthusiastic about leveraging their expertise in a dynamic and challenging environment. The successful candidate will oversee all facets of revenue recognition, utility transactions, and vendor invoice validation. This position is ideal for a meticulous individual who excels in a fast-paced, innovative setting and enjoys collaborating with a dedicated team to drive organizational success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of revenue recognition in accordance with company policies and GAAP standards.
  • Process, review, and validate RTO transactions, as well as vendor invoices for power and transmission payments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
  • Conduct regular audits of settlements and billing codes to ensure precision and compliance.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of tariffs and apply this knowledge in daily operations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes.
  • Utilize the MV-PBS billing system to manage and track all billing activities.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of new procedures and features to improve departmental workflow.
  • Provide training to both new and existing staff as necessary.
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably within the utility sector.
  • Strong understanding of RTO transactions.
  • Proficiency in the MV-PBS billing system.
  • Solid grasp of tariffs and their application in the billing process.
  • Proven ability to review and validate vendor invoices for payment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
