The Press Officer will play a vital role in collaborating with media outlets to shape narratives and influence public discussions surrounding reproductive rights.

Position Responsibilities: The Press Officer will report to the Associate Director of U.S. Media Relations and will work closely with legal and program teams. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing public relations strategies for ongoing legal cases and policy initiatives.
  • Translating complex legal concepts into engaging messages for media and public audiences.
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with journalists covering reproductive rights.
  • Crafting press releases, official statements, and opinion pieces.
  • Monitoring media trends and formulating outreach strategies accordingly.

  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to achieve common objectives.

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of experience in media relations or journalism.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated success in communications strategy development.

  • Background in advocacy or legal fields is preferred.
  • Exceptional writing and communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with PR tools such as Cision is advantageous.
